Catchin up.....

Okay...where to start. Well, as most of you know, Travis started a new job. He is working in Wyoming with an oil company. It is an excellent paying job with real great benefits. The only draw back being that it is in Wyoming. He is going to be commuting back and forth. Right now he is doing training and will be for a month. After that his schedule will be that he works 14 days and has 7 days off. So, it kind of isn't wonderful, but hopefully it will be somewhat temporary. He is hoping to do this for about a year or so and then find something local.
As for the kids, they went gleaning for FHE with their grandparents and found lots of potatoes for Mom (Thanks Kids). Travis loves his fresh picked potatoes and looks for the real big ones so that I will make him homemade fries. I say Travis, cause I can't really tell the difference between fresh picked and store bought. Sorry to all you Idahoans that are touchy about potatoes. To me a potatoe is a potatoe...although red are my favorite. Anyway Bodie found the perfect potatoes for Dad and his fries and so we had to document his find.

Reunion

This last week we went to a family reunion for my family. Just my brothers and sisters and their families. We went up to Heber Valley Camp in Heber City. It is a huge camp owned by the church. They own 8500 acres of ground and in that ground there is currently 7 camps with cabins a lake and I think 5 challenge coarses. There are more camps being added as they are constructed. It was a ton of fun. We participated in one of the challenge coarses that promotes trust and team work. After each completed obstacle they related it to the gospel. How we need each other to rely on and how as we draw closer to our Heavenly Father we will draw closer to each other. The whole expereince was so uplifting and good fun. We plan to make this our place to go every year. Yes it was that good. Below are some pics of some of the obstacles......

With this one, we had to walk on these cables by supporting each other. The Cables crossed and varied between being close and far apart. It was hard to lean on the other person for support and balance.

On this one we had to all stand on a balance beam and try to balance evenly for 5 seconds. We were perfectly balanced for much longer. This one was a little scary.

This is the spider web and we had to pass our team from one side of the web to the other. We could only use on hole per person and if you touched the web with any part of your body, you had to start over. This one was fun.

The last obstacle was all about trust. Brandon, my older brother, explains a little about it...

The pics below are of me and Travis in our gear and then making the trek across the high rope.....I was sooo scared. My legs were shaking like crazy. Travis wasn't near as scared. He is so brave!

Boating Trip

We went to Jensens Grove today for Travis' Dads Birthday. We went swimming and boating and ate food. It was a fun time. Travis did a little wake boarding. His cousin, Jerry, was there with his boat too. So Travis tried both boats out. It was a lot of fun.

The kids just love to play in the boat. Bodie loves to be in charge of the wheel and Harlee is so good at running the flag.

I say the kids love to play and sit in the boat...........as long as it doesn't leave the driveway. Once we get in the water, Bodie is terrified and Harlee would just rather be playing on the beach in the sand.

Regardless, the kids still had a fun time and Trav and I played in the boat a little.

MoHawk Man

I know some of you might think this is a little silly. But it really seems to fit Jax. We cut him a Mohawk. He has this crazy fuzzy head of hair. It just sticks straight up in the air. I had already cut it twice before doing the mohawk, so we decided to do something different. I think it looks cute on him.

Out of Order.....

Sorry to all you faithful people that keep updated with my blog. Someone (Bodie) broke my camera and so I had to take it to the shop. So it is out of commission until next week. There have been several things that I would have loved to take pics of and post, but no camera. I know what you are all thinking too, but I didn't want to show you all up with yet another one of my fabulous pieces of art. So you will have to wait until my camera gets fixed. Until then....sorry my blog is on a standstill.

My Boys

I think it is so cute when you can dress kids alike and Jax is just getting to the age where they make stuff the same as Bodie's age. So, I bought these cute pajamas and had to take pics!!
