Waitin' for my Rainbow.......

I woke up this morning to the sound of our water pump running. Most people can't hear their pump kick on and off. We can...I am not sure why (I know it has been explained to me, but I guess it wasn't important enough to me for me to remember). I thought it was odd, but didn't give it a second thought. Harlee then came up stairs to inform me that the carpet was wet where she stepped downstairs. I thought, " Oh great, Bodie didn't make it and went to the bathroom on the carpet. Great." If only it had been so simple. Since there hadn't been any water running and the pump was still on, I decided to go check it out.. . . .oh, goodness!
Our pump switch is in the furnace room and it has given us trouble since we built the place, but nothin serious, so we haven't ever done anything about it. You know it always takes a disaster to get something fixed that you should of fixed in the first place. Well semi disaster is what it was. I just count my blessings we weren't out of town. This could've been worse.

What you don't see is that the water got stopped up between the pressure tank and the wall and seeped under the wall to my laundry room. It then filled up the laundry room and seeped under the next wall and the door to the carpet on the other side. LUCKILY, it only got a small part of the carpet. It didn't make it to any furniture, computer or electrical parts. I had to file a claim with my insurance and called On the Spot cleaning to come take care of it. They were at my house in 10 minutes of the call and all is taken care of. All this and no Husband! Yes I cried, yes I panicked a little and, yes I hated my husbands job for taking him away and making me do this on my own. That was then and now I am okay. Okay enough that I am posting the whole thing on my blog :) So, this was a minor flood. Minor. And my rainbow is that now it is all under control and it wasn't worse. Thank Heavens!!

Stuck!!

This is what I found just a few moments ago. I have posted other predicaments this little guy has gotten himself into. But, I haven't posted everything. Just yesterday, I put him outside with his dad in a walker and he walked right off the cement pad and face planted in the gravel. No crying, usually there isn't, just grunting. I don't know how he got in this position, I can imagine, but I didn't see it happen. The poor little guy couldn't move though. He was just sitting here grunting.

Only in Idaho......

This is exactly what I thought Idaho was like when my parents moved to Idaho almost 13 years ago. As redneck and hillbilly as it was, it was quite entertaining. Let me explain. Last night for Family Home Evening we went to my younger sisters High School in Firth and attended Donkey Ball. These are the rules:
There are two people that play center. One person for each team. They are only allowed to be in the center of the gym. They can catch the basket ball and throw it to a team mate, but only if they are touching the center of the gym. Everyone else is on a donkey.
Teammates on Donkeys have to be on the donkey to pass the ball, travel with the ball and make a shot. If the ball is an incomplete pass, they can get off their donkey to retrieve the ball, but must take their donkey with them, Not letting go of it for any reason.
Those are the rules. If you have ever tried to lead a donkey and work with a donkey in any capacity you can see how difficult this might be. It was very entertaining and hilarious!!

During half time they let the kids come down and meet the players. It was fun for the kids to sit on a donkey.

Jax was even intrigued by the events. He sat on my lap most of the time and made growling noises while watching the action. It was funny!

Gregersen Giveaway!!

So, I guess this is going around and it sounded really fun!! I thought, what the heck! I already have some ideas of what I might do for you, all you have to do is follow the instructions below.

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. My choice. For you. (I know...a little scary, but maybe fun, huh?)
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like it .
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done by the end of April.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a loaf of homemade bread. It may be a bag, a card, an apron. It may be a book, a scarf, a poem. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did it will then win a Fabulous homemade something made by me! Ready, Set,....GO!!!

Harlee's Happy Birthday!!

I can't believe that Harlee is 7 years old. Time sure has flown by. We had a little party for her the night before her actual b-day party. Thanks to all that came. Especially her special requested favorite person, you know who you are. Thanks for coming.
She opened lots of presents from her Grandma and Grandpa. It was great.

Harlee's big present from Mom and Dad, was her brand new room. The boys moved down stairs and that gave Harlee her own room and so we had to redecorate. She picked the colors and by the time her b-day hit we were all done and she was ready to go. She loves it and I am happy that my kids are finally separated.

One of her requests for her room was a cork board to hang stuff, which you can see above and a chalk board. I just put this together with chalk board paint. It works great and was real cheap. She loves to write and draw and now she can do it on the wall in her room.
