Well, we finally got our pumpkins out and decorated. I am not into the whole carving thing, but we did decorate them. I found these cute faces at Walmart of different animals. The kids thought it was great and each picked their favorite and we plugged them all in. The whole process took about twenty minutes and then we were done. No slime, guts or pumpkins pieces! I was happy and so were the kids.

Paid to have fun, it doesn't get better than that!!
Last Night Rachelle, Marlo and I went to the David Cook Concert. Marlo knows a guy that works backstage with the sound crew and they needed stage hands. So Marlo rounded us up and we went to the Civic Center in Idaho Falls. We helped set up and take down equipment for the opening band, the Crash Kings, and for David Cook and his crew. It was a lot of fun.
We didn't get home until 2 a.m., so it was a long night, but it was SO cool to see all the backstage stuff that goes into a concert. Wow, A LOT of work!! We also had a ton of fun listening to the bands AND meeting them all. It was great, and they were all nice enough guys.
This is the lead singer of the Crash Kings, Tony, and us
This is the Drummer of the Crash Kings. I was really impressed with his talent and bummed he didn't give me one of his Drum Sticks. He looks pretty jovial here, cause he is mostly drunk.
This guy is a guitarist in the David Cook band. He was just interesting looking and so I had to take a picture. He has two lip rings, multiple piercings in his ears and a wide array of tattoos. All with hip hugger skinny jeans and cowboy boots. If that doesn't make ya drool than I don't know.....
David Cook and Band performing
Dave (that's what his friends call him) and I
I didn't get any pics of me actually working, although I totally did break a sweat a time or two, But since I was the one with the camera, I got pics of others working. They had these huge trunks/boxes that held electrical hookups, cables (there were A LOT of cables everywhere that had to be coiled up), and speakers, and a lot of other stuff
This is Marlo in at the sound station. There is a guy here at all times duting the concerts to make sure that the sounds on all the guitars, pianos and mics sound clear and tuned. When you put the headphones on, you hear what the lead singer hears in his ear piece. I had a blast and was very well educated that night. I loved it!!

Mr. Predicament
You might be getting sick of these pics of my Jax-Man in compromising situations, but I think that it is funny that it happens so often. Here he has tipped my clothes rack on top of him and has had to monkey his way out of it. He was mostly out by the time I got the camera, but he was quite intertwined. It was comical watching him grunt his way around and through the bars.
The other day I was busy making bracelets on my couch downstairs and Jax kept begging to sit with me. It's next to impossible to do bracelets and hold him, so I convinced him to sit right by me on the recliner. And there he sat, RIGHT by me. He was so cute all snuggled next to me. My little buddy, Jax. I love it!!Saturday, August 1, 2009
Reunion Season
Most all of July we reunion. We have 3 major reunions that take us all over. The first reunion is my big extended Phelps reunion that has had the tradition of being 4th of July weekend. We went down to Grantsville, Ut and spent the weekend there on Phelps Lane and had a ton of fun visiting with family and playing around. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of that.

The Gregersen Reunion is held in Island Park. We hauled the camper up there and camped for the weekend. Travis wasn't really suppose to have either of these weekends off, but he shuffled and called and got it all off. It was fun to have him to play with. The kids swam and boated and we all had fun being with family. Again, I was bad at taking pictures. I didn't take a single one.
This last weekend we went to Vernal UT for my family reunion with just my family. We did a two in one and my niece, Sariah, got baptized. So, we planned the reunion around that so we could all be there. Even my sister and her family from Minnesota was there. It was fun. I do have some pics of that. We did lots of fun things. My sis-in-laws family has a big fun 24th day of fun that they do every year and so we went to that. It was all games and prizes. Travis and I won 1st place in the washer toss competition with the prize of $100. We also one 1st place in the egg race with the prize of $20. We won 2nd in ladder ball and I won 2nd in jump rope and he won 3rd in tug of war. It was so much fun!! I would love to go every year. Travis and I rock at team playing. Saturday was Sahriah's baptism and then Sunday we went to Rock Springs and stayed over with Travis for the night. It was such a great weekend! Below are the pics I have of the events:
These first few pics are of the kids and there little games where everyone wins. The had ring tosses and throw the ball in the garbage can and fun little things like that. Then they did a water balloon toss. The kids had a great time with there cousins.

The following are all our winnings. :)

These two are Linnie's Sister, Carry, and her boyfriend, Casey. They were our fierce competitors. We went up against them twice in the major competitions. We won them once and they won us once. It was a lot of fun playing against them twice.

Sariah Lin Phelps in her baptism dress. So sweet.

Been Awhile.....
Isn't summer suppose to be nice and relaxing?!! That is what I thought, but I did do this to myself. I have never felt like I was a crazy, busy person. I haven't really been one to put my kids into things that commits me to a schedule. When I tell people that I have three kids and they say, "Wow, that must keep you busy!" I never felt that way. But this summer has opened my eyes to all you people out there that have that crazy, busy life. Harlee started Tennis on the 8th of June at 9 a.m. and a week later Bodie and Harlee started swim lessons at 10 a.m. Tennis is still going and swim was just two weeks long (ended last Thursday). So, I got us all kind of busy. Between lessons M-Th and Mom and Wife duties, plus my bracelet making, well, there hasn't been a lot of time for extra curricular activities. How is that for an excuse for not blogging? I haven't even been taking many pics to document my crazy past few weeks. I do have a couple though. So here they are. ...

This is Harlee at the top of the slide. She does the whole process by herself. She slides and swims to the edge all by herself. She is doing so well!

This is me and Laney at the Idaho Falls Chukars game. I won free tickets and so I found time in my busy schedule to go to a game. Thanks to the family for watching the kids! Laney and I had a blast yelling out encouraging baseball lingo to the players, "Good eye Brian!" It was a SO fun!! I LOVE hanging out with my baby sister!!
